After-school
clubs |
Children have the
opportunity to attend a number of after-school and lunchtime clubs at our
school. Please click on the links below to find out more.
Children
in Class 3 also organise various clubs, which have in the past included
'Pop Choir', 'Horse & Pony Club' and 'Art Club'. Children from all
classes are invited to come along to Class 3 during the dinnertime play
session and join in with activities they have planned themselves.
Football Club
This is open to all children in Key Stage 2 (Classes 2 and 3). The football
club meets on Mondays after school, 3.15 to 4.15 pm (February to June,
September to November) and is run by Mr Shilton, the headteacher. All
sessions take place, weather permitting, on the school field, therefore
old clothes/football kit are needed to change into.
Computer Club
The computer club is open to all children in the school and meets on Wednesdays
after school, 3.15 to 4.15 pm. It is run by Mrs Dyson (Class 2 teacher)
and Mrs Holden (school secretary). The activities are led by the children
- they may want to play games, need help with a project, go on the internet
(supervised) or e-mail friends.
Greenfingers
This is a 'team' led by Mrs Dyson and Mrs Whitwam and is for all budding
gardeners in school. It is run on lunchtimes as and when needed (and
dependent on the weather!). Children help with spring/summer planting,
potting up, pruning and weeding etc.
Recorders
Miss Hall runs a recorder club on Thursday and Friday after school, 3.15
to 3.45 pm. This is open to all children in school, of all abilities.
